Watchman Nee – Spiritual Food

Watchman Nee – Spiritual Food

watchmann Nee

“Spiritual food of a believer is nothing more nor less than accomplishing God’s work. The kingdom of God suffers greatly at the hands of “spiritual believers” who busy themselves with prayer and Bible study and attend only to their spiritual need.”
– Watchman Nee

The True Conqueror

The True Conqueror

Alistair Begg

“The only true conqueror who shall be crowned in the end is he who continues until war’s trumpet is blown no more… Christian, wear your shield close to your armor and cry earnestly to God, that by His Spirit you may endure to the end.”

but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”

The Cross and The Crown

SERVICE TURNS INTO RULE.

the Cross and The Crown

“The soldier in the ranks becomes an officer of the army; the apprentice becomes the master; by long and faithful service in any one of the fields of human activity, we prepare to rule. Thus is it in the spiritual realm. Obedience to Divine law turns into a perfect self-command, which is another name for liberty. And a lifelong service of Jesus Christ will turn to an occupancy of that heavenly sphere for which our fidelity shall have fitted us; the “faithful and wise servant” his Lord will “make ruler over all his goods” (Mat 24:45-47). Faithful service here “turns to” happy and helpful rule hereafter.”

The Nature Of Love

The Nature of Love

the nature of love

God’s Love, by its very nature, is an active and creative power within the soul of man. Creation is proof of God ever seeking, ever desiring to expend and lavish His love in new dimensions. The Word declares that we were “created for His pleasure,” and it is His pleasure to pour out Himself in unmeasured and unmerited means. His Love in us seeks, desires, and ever works to color everything within its reach, not to own, rule, or control but to inspire others to live fully in God.

The infinite and all-encompassing God whom our forefathers sought with passion calls us to depths unknowable and heights unsearchable.

“Deep calleth unto deep”
Psalm 42:7

The Love of God is the call, and His Love in man is the response.

“We love Him because He first loved us.”
1 John 4:19

Grace and Works

Charles Spurgeon

“If we give God service, it must be because He gives us grace. We work for Him because He works in us.”

The Rugged Way

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
