Renewal in Christ

“For as he thinketh in his heart,
so is he”
Proverbs 23:7

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Romans 12:1-2 (ESV)

The sum of a life lived is the true revelation of the thoughts by which the world is seen and how the soul views its relationship to it. Salvation in the true depth of its work is filled with the inspirations of His Spirit renewing our minds from the slavish tendencies to love the temporal, the sensuous and the things which keep it earth-bound and carnal. In our renewal the heavenly things are seen and the true liberty of our life in Christ begin to be appropriated.
